was wondering i want o play the games off my hard drive was told i could not since i updated to 3.50 firmware so your telling me now that i can downgrade my firmware to play games off my hardrive or is the modd only for sysytems that had the modd already and accidently updated to new firmware cause im confuse as a brandnew owner of ps3 can i get my ps3 modded to play off my hardrive im running 3.50 firmware never got it modded let me know thanks

Of course the Slim can run YDL. The hardware is exactly the same as these newer fat PS3 apart from how the power supply and cooling is handled. But to be honest there is no point in running it without having real access to the real juicy part of the PS3.

But these jailbreaks are just stupid in this case. Appart from being able to backup your game data there is no point. All this will do is force sony to make a discless and portless PS4 where people will only be able to buy from their very own store.

Just like they did with the PSP Go after people started to rip PSP games.
