He was right. I love the Otterbox but to hook up any devices such as a car r/f player, etc, I have to remove the Otterbox. That’s okay for a long trip but to pop on a dongle to control the TV, I would not do it. The point is, they need to make attachments like this dongle or external speakers or other gadgets that can accommodate iPhone skins and protective devices. It would not be that hard. Simply extend the USB plug up a few millimeters using the same specs that the original Apple connector has. For external speakers, provide a shim to support the phone with or without the protective box or make the USB plug “reach” adjustable.

I search the app store and find a plethora of other remote apps but they all lack the dongle and the plethora of options. There truly is a plethora of great things that I use my iphone for on a daily basis and if I had this dongle there would be a plethora of new things for me to enjoy. When this dongle becomes available there will be a plethora of dollar bills leaving my wallet to buy one.
