I work in the blindness field and the people I work with mostly travel with guide dogs. The one comment they all make is that the best part about traveling with a dog is that you don't have to know about every little obstacle - you can simply keep moving like everyone else. I like the technical aspect of it, but it essentially creates a digital cane experience, whereby the user has to know about every obstacle along their path.

This is fantastic, this is the sort of thing I was hoping that developers would come up with demonstrating the power of the device, now couple that with a GPS system and we can make the symbol cane and guide dog a thing of the past, this is fantastic, though I'm not sure I'd like to walk around with a camera strapped to my head, but its a great start, well done!
