You can’t listen to an audio book as you read along on this – that’s only the Fire HD. The paperwhite doesn’t have speakers or a headphone jack.

Why oh why did they get rid of the text to speech??? I use that all the time. Very disappointed…

Hardly hands-on. This is just a recap of the features that are available on Amazon’s website. We want to know stuff like: how much of an improvement is the new display? Is the backlight uneven and blueish like the Nook? What other firmware improvements have been made (better menus? landscape supported? browser?)… Come on!
