Judie Hughes has got a problem: hotness.  No, she’s not going through the menopause (shame on you for suggesting it!); it’s her Tablet PC that’s getting all toasty.  I suggested she try working in a bathtub full of ice water, but she went with someone else’s suggestion and invested in one of Jetart’s notebook cooler wedges.

The NP7600W is an aluminium-topped platform with two 2,300RPM fans designed to dissipate hot air from a notebook’s vents as well as cool its chassis.  To factor in some added value Jetart have also built in a four-port USB hub, and both they and the fans themselves – which Judie has found to be very quiet in use – can either be powered from the laptop or an external PSU.

Proof of the pudding is how cold it gets, and Judie sounds particularly pleased:

“As far as real world usage, I can tell you that the cooler does exactly as it says it will. Temperatures are noticeably cooler when my Tablet is sitting on the cooler and the fans are running. The heat pumping from the laptop’s left vent is dissipated over the aluminum surface, and the laptop’s bottom is noticeably cooler.”

The NP7600W costs $59.99 and is available direct from Jetart
