Jeep Altitude Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler editions debut for 2014

Jeep has announced that the special Altitude editions of several of its popular vehicles will be debuting in 2014. The vehicles that get the Altitude treatment for the first time in 2014 will include the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler. Those three new Altitude models join the existing Altitude Compass and Patriot models.

Jeep says that the new Altitude models will hit showrooms this spring around the country. The Altitude models get blacked-out exterior trim and other special touches. The Altitude versions of the Compass and Patriot are available in dealerships now.

The Cherokee Altitude is based on the Latitude model and can be had in 4x2 or 4x4 flavors with either a 2.4L Multiair Tigershark I-4 engine or a 3.2L Pentastar V6. It gets gloss black grille surrounds, roof rails, front fascia appliques, and badging. The car also gets 18-inch gloss black wheels. The Altitude can be had in Brilliant Black Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, and Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat. Pricing starts at $24,995.

The Grand Cherokee Altitude is based on the Laredo model with 4x2 or 4x4 versions. It uses the standard V6 engine and has the same gloss black trim and 20-inch gloss black wheels. It also gets black leather seats on the inside. Color options include Billet Silver, Bright White, Brilliant Black Metallic Coat, Deep Cherry, Granite Crystal, and Maximum Steel starting at $35,290. The Wrangler gets similar gloss black trim and is based on the Sahara model with pricing starting at $31,595.
