JBL launches new Cinema Series soundbars

JBL has announced a new line of soundbars for home theater fans looking for deep bass and high-quality sound without taking up a lot of room. The new line includes the JBL Cinema SB 100, SB 200, and SB 400 soundbars. The devices are designed to bring surround sound performance to flat TVs ranging from 32 to 46-inches in size.

All of the devices in the range have an equalization switch that optimizes the audio performance for the soundbar when it's mounted on the wall or placed on a table. The high-end SB 400 has a separate wireless subwoofer that can be placed anywhere in a room for superior bass. The SB 200 has an integrated subwoofer while the low-end SB 100 has an RCA output to add a separate powered subwoofer.

The sound bars have dual integrated woofers for enhanced bass, and the SB 100 and 200 models have a Bass Boost button to optimize low frequency performance. The midrange SB 200 and high-end SB 400 both have integrated Bluetooth allowing users to stream music and other content from Apple, Android, or other Bluetooth compatible gadgets.

The SB 100 features dual woofers, dual tweeters, and an integrated amplifier with two 30 W channels. It uses the existing TV remote and will sell for $199. The SB 200 features Bluetooth, dual 60-watt amps, two woofers, and two tweeters. It will sell for $299. The SB 400 has the same features as the SB 200 with the addition of a separate eight-inch 200-watt wireless subwoofer. The system has an MSRP of $549.
