Jawbone UP24 expands to 29 countries

Jawbone has announced the global launch of its UP24 fitness band, expanding it into 29 countries. The wristband, which we reviewed late last year, is compatible with iOS and Android devices and provides users with constant data on both their fitness goals and sleep patterns.

The UP app is available in a dozen languages, among them being all the common ones you'd expect. The global roll out took effect today, with the hardware being available at Jawbone's website, and through Apple, Amazon, and John Lewis stores.

Along with the expansion also comes UP Coffee, which is available as a standalone iOS app for those who love coffee and tea. The app can be linked with the UP and UP24 to monitor the effects of caffeine on one's sleep patterns, forming a pattern over time.

Said Jawbone's VP of Product Management and Strategy Travis Bogard, "The UP community has already logged more than 500 billion steps and 50 million nights of sleep. It's an astounding amount of data. While data is good, understanding is better ... UP pushes timely information to you to help turn your intentions into action."
