The Boombotix is NOWHERE near the audio performance of JamBox. I own the JamBox and my in-law has the Boombotix Duo. I can compare the size/quality of the Jambox with the excellent Bose compacts.

Have you guys seen the BoomBotix BB2 (http://www.boombotix.com/bb2) speakers?
They’re a third of the price and have pretty comparable performance to the Jawbone… yeah they have a completely unique look to them, but if I’d say the BoomBotix speakers are a little easier to travel with than the Jawbone ones. You can also hook them up to your home stereo and just use them as a bluetooth receiver.

xtraa, your points hold some validity, but your credibility suffers when you suggest that the reviewer’s cam-mic can’t “picture the sound” (?), you misspell the word actually, and you can’t distinguish between Avril Lavigne and Melissa Etheridge.

Sorry but your review is pretty useless as long as you don’t compare the Jambox sound to another device. Your cam-mic simply isn’t able to picture the sound. For $199 I and I think all the other readers would like to know how IT ACCTUALLY SOUNDS?! But you didn’t even waste one word on that.

Well, and maybe a reference-track with more beats would show us, if the Jambox kicks ass or just sucks. So it doesn’t make sense to play only some kind of Melissa Etheridge bleh.
