I suggest that we all need to keep the consumer pressure on AT&T to allow tethering. I have paid for my data limit. I suggest that it is not any of AT&T’s business if I use it with 5 devices or just the iPhone.

I got so tired of the limits I purchased a MiFi device on a competitors network to AT&T then reduced my AT&T data plans to minimums.

AT&T is simply being too greedy and controlling.

I often wonder how one would benefit from a tethering app without the data plan to go with it. I have the 4gb plan, and between my iPhone, WiFi only iPad and MacBook Pro, I use 3-4gb per month. And I don’t watch but perhaps one or two TV shows, though I do listen to Pandora and of course use my MacBook a good bit using the iPhone’s data when away from a hotspot.
