Android vs iOS is like comparing “Apples to Oranges”, while patent protection is understandable, locking out perceived competitors is in this manner is stooping to a very low level in my opinion. 

What I dont understand are the patents themselves, anyone using a sql database of any kind and running them on a system with SAS or SATA drives among others would be in violation of these patents. Its totally absurd, Apple might as well come out and say all computers, handheld or not must be in violation of their patents and banned. You would figure a patent trolling would be beneath a company such as Apple.

Those patents seem way too broad to me. From the looks of it, any computing device would infringe… “performing an action on a structure in computer generated data” doesn’t even make much sense it’s so broad. What Apple “innovation” is it referring to? Swyping to change screens? Pinch to zoom? IMO, that shouldn’t be patentable. Unique code, hardware, etc should, but not a way users can interact with the device. That’s like Microsoft patenting dragging objects by holding the left button down and moving the mouse. Straight up ridiculous.
