so basically my laptop is infringing on apples patent? its a device & it processes like a computer. this is BS & its really fishy how ITC is allowing this to be used. i dont know why nokia, htc, sony, meizu & all the rest that use android havent got together to fight this,if they were to kill this BS that apples creating in the business world they would never have to worry about apple again. apple is really efing things up with there scared to compete tactics. is apple mad that they had to make the phone thinner ahead of time? or that they had to put mms messaging to use? or that since theyre so pathetic that they even sued there own supplier. so pathetic theyre buying & making patents that are so broad & unspecific that its ridiculous to give them the patent in the first place. theyre patenting things that are already commonly used! is htc suing motorola for using a kickstand on there phone? no but i bet apple would. they need to band together & get apple to stfu & sit down for good.

The problem with these two patents is that they are so vague that essentially any computer-like device is infringing upon it. So in reality, if the judge finds HTC infringing upon it, well, every other computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other computer-like device manufacturer is infringing on these two patents as well.

Honestly if there is a ban on HTC products Ill be reconsidering my ownership in the few Apple devices (even though they are modified) I own, along with the potential purchases of future Apple products. Android vs iOS is like comparing "Apples to Oranges", while patent protection is understandable, locking out perceived competitors is in this manner is stooping to a very low level in my opinion.

What I dont understand are the patents themselves, anyone using a sql database of any kind and running them on a system with SAS or SATA drives among others would be in violation of these patents. Its totally absurd, Apple might as well come out and say all computers, handheld or not must be in violation of their patents and banned. You would figure a patent trolling would be beneath a company such as Apple.

Insane. Those patents seem way too broad to me. From the looks of it, any computing device would infringe... "performing an action on a structure in computer generated data" doesn't even make much sense it's so broad. What Apple "innovation" is it referring to? Swyping to change screens? Pinch to zoom? IMO, that shouldn't be patentable. Unique code, hardware, etc should, but not a way users can interact with the device. That's like Microsoft patenting dragging objects by holding the left button down and moving the mouse. Straight up ridiculous.
