Obviously you never drove the 1985 mustang SVO. It was a 4cyl 12 psi turbo and was an absolute blast to drive. The key is to get the weight of these things back down to earlier mustangs.

The Evos car is a nice looking car, but it's NO Mustang. I have been a faithful Mustang buyer for many years (on my 7th Mustang, a 2010 ShelbyGT500) and have loved every one of them, No, I didn't buy a Mustang II. Ford, Please don't screw this up like you did with the Mustang II and almost did with the Probe.

Believe it or not I'm one of the Mustang "faithful" that will be happy to see the end of the retro styling. It's time to look forward, not back. I like celebrating heritage, but this retro thing is so, well, retro...As for "selling out to Europe" that's what's kept Ford from going the way of GM and Chrysler. We're looking at a real global economy and that's where Ford is strong. I don't want the 'Stang to become euro-trash, not sir, but if that's what's going to keep the Mustang going, so be it.

The current Mustang is the best looking Mustang ever. I really hate the picture above, it really sucks. While the EcoBoost is a great motor, you buy a muscle car for the V8, not a hot 4. The V8 gets reasonable milage considering its a hot rod. While the EcoBoost has its place, like the truck, cars and SUV's, but NOT in a Mustang.

Talk about a slap in the face for anybody who wants a Mustang shortly after 2015. The EVOS is a cool car but NOT as a replacement to the Mustang. Leave the pony ar alone FORD its your only american designed car left. You have already sold out to Europe with the focus, Fiesta, Fusion, Tuarus. Keep the best car you have alone. If you want to make it better make it slightly smaller proportionaly and make it loose a bit of weight. Keep the current engines and people will buy in droves. Heck, why not take the 65 Mustang and actually make the new 2015 almost identical. There is a reason the 65 Mustang is the biggest kit car sold. This thought process of taking people want and then destroying it makes you wonder how American car makers survive.
