It has 8GB of flash storage and a 22 hour battery life. There is also a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

It has a 2.2 inch screen which is good for watching videos on. But, its not touchscreen, in fact it doesn’t have a single new technology in it except flash memory.

I mean this thing goes so far back its still using the click wheel interface. It does appear to be fairly cheap though retailing for a mere $130.

The T3 article you link to actually lists the price at 130 pounds (about $255), and the 8GB model has been selling since at least April 2007 for $219 at Warehouse123.

however, i did a google products search, because i’ve learned not to trust the pricing on other such sites (i mean the T3 article i linked to said it was 80GB instead of 8 right in the title, and that was wrong) and the google products showed it for the price i said from several retailers.

    google archive search:

july 2006 and feb 2007 mentions an 8gb in foreign sites such as japan
august 2007 or so in english websites

old, old news for the 8gb being available.

    need more proof?
here’s a link to mystic river forums discussion thread for pre-purchases back in april 2007:

owners have been discussing this playr that they actually own since 2007. ebay has been showing them for auction since then as well.

btw, in more current news, hd-dvd lost the format war and polaroids picture technologies are being phased out.
