Hey whats going on? My little sister put a password on my ipod and im over a 1000 miles away from my laptop with itunes.. is there ne way to unlock this thing without itunes?

I just got my Touch today and just for kicks, I wanted to see if the same thing would happen with my iPod. I ran the update and tried the password trick, and it gave me the same “iPhone is locked – try again” message.

But I agree with you, the design and the interface are nothing short of amazing. And I really could care less about the whole password message snafu – I don’t expect to ever forget a password, if I even enable it again. Nor would I connect it to my Mac and launch Image Capture. I’m just very glad mines doesn’t seem to have the faulty display.

The ipod touch is great, the interface is amazing and the ability to connect to wireless networks has been key for me…as far as the glitches i have not encountered one of them even when i have tried, following the directions above…maybe the software glitches have been fixed via updates through itunes, or maybe you guys lack the simple intelligence to install and run software and hardware properly…If your wanting an IPHONE but cant get out of a prior cellphone contract this is a great buy. There isn’t a single gadget out there that can match it.

I agree to some point Dan, iPod touch can be more than just an iPod and PMP. It can be simply tablet with multimedia functions. But Apple i sticking it out as an iPod, so they dont include those “mini tablet” features. However, I’ do hope Apple would make the iPod touch more than just an iPod in the future.

If they had included all the iPhone software like email and a calendar I can add entries to, I would have bought one instead of a Nano. If they had included an camera, I would have been unable to stop myself, no matter what. Bluetooth connection to the new battery keyboard, anyone?

The closer it comes to replacing a laptop for “out and about”, the more they will sell. The more they emphasise that it is “just” an iPod, the less they will sell.

Sure the interface is cool. But no-one buys something JUST because of the interface. (Although I tried to talk myself into it.)
