I would like to see some choice. My wife loves the size of the iPhone 4. I like a bigger screen. So I am all for it. I think in going forward apple will need to make a variety of iPhones. To suit peoples needs.
No longer are we just amazed at being able to touch the screen and it do what it was told.
Samsung / Google have so much choice and android is getting pretty good.
Apple still is a mile in front when it comes to design though.

Surely Apple would not do this to their customers. They have already looked stupid after saying and preaching that the 3.5 inch screen was the perfect size, then they had to swallow their pride and now preach the 4 inch screen is now the perfect size. What will they believe as the perfect screen size if Apple releases the 4.9 inch screen. Please don’t make your customers look any more stupid by releasing a larger screen again.

I have an iPhone 5 too, and I am not a fan of the 16×9 aspect ratio. The only thing it is good for is watching videos – and then, only if they happen to be formatted at 16×9. For everything else, 16×9 is not good (especially games and maps/gps.) I really hope apple goes back to the 3:2 aspect ratio.

What people fail to realize is that any changes to an ios resolution requires the app maker remake the app. Unlike Android which was designed to work across a range of screen sizes apple in their wisdom used fixed resolutions.

The iphone 5 has a 16:9 ratio, i would really love to see the iphone+ have at least a 5.5inch screen that keeps the same aspect ratio but is full 1080p. That way no apps have to be changed in terms of filling up the screen, they could just become clearer as developers wanted.

Also this would put it at or above the screen size of samsungs note 2, and because i dont need a stylus, apple could take that room and finally give me all day battery life.

This is where the market is going i study phone trends and i love apple, but if they don’t go here samsung will destroy them, dont believe me? just wait for the youm note 3 samsung might have shown us in their commercial at the CES 2013

I will get one. I currently have the 4S and seriously considering a slightly bigger one that’s not a tablet. However I don’t like the Galaxy’s weird rectangle design and its cheap plastic look and feel. A slightly bigger screen with sleek look and solid feel would be perfect.

I think a non-retina iPhone would flop, considering the number of 1080p phone screens out there now. This phone would have nearly half the resolution of those new devices.

I love my iPhone, but there is no way in hell I would purchase the next iPhone if this is the case.
