iPhone Nike+ screenshots leak

Leaked screenshots of Nike's latest fitness collaboration with Apple have allegedly shown up online, giving the healthy and the wannabe-healthy a glimpse of what will be making them sweat almost as much as a Steve Jobs keynote.  Nike+ for the iPhone appears to bring many of the previously desktop-only features -such as mapping and performance graphing – directly to the handset itself.

Nike+ has been available as an accessory to the iPod for some time now, in the shape of a wireless adaptor for the PMP, a connected armband and desktop application that allows custom workouts and records of performance to be analysed.  Users can also create exercise-related playlists.

Google Maps integration, together with the iPhone 3G's GPS support, could make a big difference to Nike+ functionality, although it's unclear whether this will merely track your progress or allow you to pre-programme routes and be guided through the workout.  No word on when we can expect the official Nike+ release.
