iPhone event September 10th: unofficial confirmations flow in

Today a one-word "yep" confirmation (unofficial, though it is) appeared for a September 10th, 2013 Apple event that'll almost certainly unveil the next iPhone. This event date was first reported this weekend by AllThingsD, they having received an anonymous tip from someone with knowledge of the matter. Today this "next iPhone at a special event on Sept. 10" has been confirmed with that single word by Jim Dalrymple of The Loop.

The sentence confirmed may or may not leave room for more than one product at said event, this referring to more than just the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5 being the current hero smartphone for the brand on the market today suggests that Apple will bring an incremental update in the iPhone 5S. This follows the pattern set by Apple with the original iPhone 3GS, followed by iPhone 4, 4S, and 5.

The iPhone 5S has been tipped to be coming with an advanced A7 chip inside as well as a fingerprint scanner under its single home button. This device will continue to work with the 4-inch display of the iPhone 5, and will be taking on minor changes in its hardware, front and bottom.

In the images you're seeing above, an early hardware dummy has been presented to Tinh te, these dummies normally set for case-makers both inside the USA and abroad. These dummy models appeared in Vietnam and – if we're following the rumors closely – they do represent what's likely to appear at Apple's event on the 10th of September rather accurately.

So what does that mean for Apple? A September 10th release of a smartphone going to war with the likes of the HTC One, Moto X, and Samsung Galaxy S 4? Let us know if you've made your decision yet given the rumors or if you'll be waiting to get your hands on iOS 7 (also being delivered on the next iPhone) to feel the full experience!
