I know I'm replying to this article a little late (4 mos) but I hope it helps someone else make a buying decision. There are a few things to be concerned about. Now that the iphone 4 is out they have jacked up the price from 129 to 159. (not a big deal if it were a permanent solution) They are not backwards compatible (iphone3/3g, 4) because of the microphone. I''m weary of spending the money not knowing if it will be compatible with the next incarnation of the iphone. To replace the owle bubo every year or two along with the phone is a little ridiculous. I have found universal mounts for much less, but not one with a microphone boom.
I love the product and the idea, but with the iphone 5 just around the corner, excetera... along with Apple's reputation for redesigning from the ground up. This is way to expensive for the casual user, and this is not aimed at the professional crowd.

The iphonedslr site was built by one of our customers who was tired of waiting on us to come up with a solution for him. We love that! We have been working on this for a while and literally just yesterday made some breakthroughs. We were planning on showing some epic footage later this month but now we have to post it up.

This is still very rough but as you can see in the video it looks pretty frikkin awesome. The quality will only get higher from here as we try to ready to product for the consumer. This was shot by the awesome dudes at vid-atlantic.com using their 200$ static DOF adapter and an OWLE bubo.
