Apparently there have been mass mailings of rejections from the iPhone Developer Program. So, what we once thought was going to be a fairly open development platform is getting more and more closed every day.

Its not just individuals either, corporations have been rejected as well. This doesn’t mean you can’t still download the SDK, it just means if you want your software published you’re going to have to get someone else to do it.

Furthermore, international applications are being rejected saying that they’ll expand outside the US during the beta period. Lastly, a quote from Daniel Jalkut which pretty much sums up my personal thoughts on the matter, “In other news, it looks like the Jailbreak Developer Program still has open slots, and people are getting approved as I type.”
