iPhone alarm fault allows unexpected lie-in

The transition from Daylight Savings Time over the weekend has prompted iPhone headaches, with the Apple smartphone's alarm app apparently ignoring the hour's difference despite the clock showing the correct time.  Complaints are already flooding Twitter, as confused iPhone owners find their alarms going off an hour late (giving them double that precious extra sixty minutes of Monday sleep we only get once a year).

The issue seems to be an iOS 4 one, which means anybody still running iOS 3.x should have no problems getting up on time.  Some iOS 4.1 owners have also reported having no issues.  Apple is yet to comment on the issue, but we're guessing there will be engineers adding another bug to the to-do list.
