Well actually my post was merely intended to suggest the problem may not effect all iPhone 5s. Usually hardware problems effect mass-manufactured product in segregated batches. If i recall correctly, at no point did i mention this problem was not genuine.

If you stay in a smaller range it won’t hapen. Just if you use the hole hight of the screen, that’s how it is in my case. So I think it’s a SW bug

Was surprise to see this report. I have this problem with chrome when iPhone 5 first launch. If u scroll chrome fast enough, will drop out.

Even thou 6.0.1 is out, the problem is still there.

What kind of hardware problem does the author think causes problem in diagonal scrolling only?

It is very likely that somewhere in legacy parts of the software an undocumented assumption was made concerning the aspect ratio of the screen. In such a case scrolling vertically or horizontally would work fine, but scrolling diagonally would cause a glitch. This why older hardware would remain unaffected (even though running the same version of iOS) while the new software is not. A simple software update would suffice to solve this.

Also happens on my ipod touch 5th gen. Tested it both on contacts and music and it would stutter and ocasionally freeze just like the video. This might sadly mean a hardware issue, but let’s hope that’s wrong…

It could be bit of both… New touch hardware, Doesn’t it use sharps new In-cell touch sence tech? Might be just the new captive hardware with the the old captive software and an update might do the trick… Whens 6.1 out because this could be the first anyone has seen it happen to this extent

Same here. I noticed in Infinity Blade II on iPhone 5 many times didn’t register the slashes. I didn’t notice on iPhone 4S.
