1. I love you how you think the link you posted means HTC won any real battle. All that link proves is that a judge ruled in HTC’s favor to keep the patents standing, and those patents *could* be under FRAND. So even if HTC won this legal dispute, their monetary gain would be fairly low. What was that about “uneducated simpleton’s”?
2. I can’t wait to see your little “prediction” go down in flames, just like all the other things you said would happen on “x” date, but never did. You were wrong about the release dates of the Evo 3D, Galaxy Nexus, Evo 4G LTE, and the Galaxy Note II, because surprise surprise, you based all your predictions on *rumors*.

I always find that term interesting when talking about apple. “FRAND” because they are industry standard–yet apple can get patent on a rectangle or band entire product lines because of patents so broad and vague that any device infringes.

With the AT&T lock down and the new proprietary SIM size options are few to use the international capabilities without huge roaming costs. Good luck on finding a prepaid nano SIM when traveling. Apple is their customers worst enemy and do everything the operators ask for.

That article overlooks the most obvious scenario for LTE which is that they will release regional versions to cover the various locations because antenna performance or coverage would suffer if they tried to squeeze in enough bands to roam globally, not to mention the obvious point that there won’t tend to be realistic tariffs for LTE roaming anyway.

Samsungs LTE patents must be licensed under FRAND conditions because they are part of an industry standard. Samsung has already been admonished for attempting to get an injunction using FRAND patents before, I don’t see how this will be any different.
