I doubt sprint is that dumb to “bet the farm” on the iphone 5. As soon as the product is announced, it’ll likely be trumped by better specs android phones. As someone pointed out earlier, the GS2 will probably have better spec and it’s an old phone that’s been out for many months now.

I do hope sprint gets the iPhone! Right now I have at&t and their price plans are killing my wallet for sure! I am definitely rooting for Sprint on this one! lol! Either way the suspense is torturing me! lol

So, 20 billion worth of iPhones at $600. a pop would be roughly 33 million phones…that’s a lot.

The Wall Street Journal article says nothing of the sort. Yes, they say Sprint is purchasing a ton of iphones at the cost of 20 billion, but BGR (a bit less reliable source, don’t you think?) is reporting that “a source” is claiming an iPhone 5 exclusive on Sprint. That’s a BIG difference.

I have AT&T, AT&T has an iPhone exclusive, I get an Android phone.
I switch to Sprint to get the Galaxy S II Android phone, Sprint gets an iPhone exclusive.
Pay me now, I’ll come to your network…
