It won’t be called iPhone 5 or 6 it will follow the New iPad philosophy of just being called the New iPhone or iPhone 2012. Apple is trying to move away from model numbers like 3G, 4S et al.

haha! Apple has had so many chances at that but failed miserably! sure they sell a lot of devices but android is the #1 most used mobile operating system on the market….not ios. I’m just waiting till Apple dies. which will be sooner than later. :P

Because the iPhone 6 would be an unnecessary jump. You had the first iPhone, the the 3G, then the 3GS, then the 4. All of that makes sense. By the time they hit 4, they had the 4th generation. Then with the 4S, they were simply stating that it was the same phone without any extreme changes, a few minor upgrades. It was essentially the same on the outside, kinda like how there’s been 4 iterations of the PS3, but they’re all still a PS3, and not a PS4

What u described sounds more like a galaxy S3. IPhone icons haven’t changed since 2006. Same goes for the screen size. HTC one X has a better display. Should I go on?

Why is the next iPhone being called the iPhone 5? The current iPhone IS the 5th generation, so this makes no sense. Simply because the current iPhone is named “4S” is pretty poor reasoning. iPhone 6 to coincide with the iOS 6 and the 6th generation of the device would make much more sense.
