There have been many rumors (given weight by their generality and persistence) that Apple wants to get away from the design of the iPhone 4.
I always felt that, though this seemed believable in itself, Apple returning to the deisng of it’s previous devices would feel like a step backwards, an admission of a mistake (certainly not something Apple is known for).
So maybe this will be how they do it.

I like curve glass, it align with your cheek nicely, good idea from apple if they do use it
