Hey…. Samsung wich is huge rite now in making android phones makes the a5 chip that iPhone 4s runs on yes they actually make almost everything that iphone runs on …BTW I wrote this on my EVO 3s its the shot. HTC interface as u say experience is amazing and its unique interface is the future

I don’t think anyone here needs to run in and beat the Android drum, All of the pages and pages and pages of pre-emptive defense from the Apple fans says all that needs to be said. If this wasn’t important, hundreds wouldn’t be running to their rescue justifying 512MB of ram and telling others how they don’t ‘need’ more memory. Actions speak alot louder than words, and the unprompted damage control in the comments here really paints a clear picture. Any chance of serious multitasking with demanding and CPU hogging apps just died in a fire with this news.

I’d like more ram for an effing 500 quid plus product I also don’t like paying 100 quid extra for each increment of memory. 800 quid for a 64 gb iPhone. That’s just crazy. For the first time ever I I’m giving up on the smartphone wars I have both products and it’s finally got to the stage that neither are offering anything really new. All I’d like them to do is make one that would work for as long as an old nokia now that would be good.

Simple. People are lining up for iPhones because they purposely limit the release just like the Wii did for years to create that need that you have to get it because its a scarce item. Simple Supply and Demand.

Since there are 4 Carriers selling Androids its easy to get one and yet you have a choice of carrier and device opposed to what AT&T did in the past.

I’m not sure about the most of you guys, but I refuse to wait in line when I can simply click an icon and have it shipped to my house.

My Epic 4G Touch runs Android 2.3 extremely smooth. It’s a fantastic experience. I’m already past my 14 day window, but maybe I can argue with them that The Gnome said it runs like crap. I really need to get rid of this phone. I don’t know. I’m really happy with it though. I mean it does everything I want. And it does it so well. I’m so confused. Maybe mine is broken and it broke in such a way that made it an absolutely amazing phone. I doubt anybody else is having such a good experience with this phone. Oh wait. My wife loves her Epic 4G Touch too. Well, we bought them together. So it’s possible they both have the same defect. Oh great. Now I have to figure out how to return 2 phones. Is there anything else I can tell Sprint that might help my case?

Right. But with no flash, no 4G LTE, no larger screen and no removable battery, no thanks. Even Steve Jobs said “don’t settle.” Old, small, shatterable designs don’t equate to “insanely great.” Galaxy Nexus likely will.

Go look up Verizon’s 4G LTE. It blasts past 3G in real world performance. You’re confusing it with HSPA+, which is just a glorified 3G. But 4G LTE burns through battery life as well. That’s probably why Apple doesn’t do it, no removable battery and all.

The reason I care is that I bought a 3g at launch and within a year or year and a half it was a dog. Part of that was the processor of course but why sell yourself short in the future?

It makes sense, the iPod touch still only has 256MB of RAM and they’re still selling the iPhone 3GS. If the 4S had 1GB of RAM, the 3GS would be obsolete already. I’m glad they’re not ramping up RAM as quickly as Android is – it keeps devs a bit more honest.

The question isn’t whether previous iOS versions were fine with 512MB of RAM but whether or not this will remain true for iOS 5?

All those new features, increased multi-tasking, and more things that may run in the background… means we should probably wait and see an actual performance review before being so certain of anything.

There is also the question of pushing iOS devices for gaming, which could certainly have benefited from additional memory even if normal use is fine. But if iOS5 uses more RAM than iOS4 then that means less free memory for memory hungry programs like games.

Though this is still a rumor, and it could still turn out the 4S actually has more RAM.

Because the experience is affected. Following your logic, the government should just do what it wants and not inform us, as most Americans are too ignorant or haven’t had the proper education to fully understand what’s going on.

Oh and we shouldn’t really tell consumers what the HP, weight, or specs of the engine, because they don’t know about that either. While we’re at it, who needs nutrition labels? People keep eating what they want regardless of how unhealthy it is.

Cloud Synchronization is something Android users have long enjoyed with Google. Notifications Center is something iOS is just catching up with Android. Android has long had Over The Air update capability, along with photo sharing.

The list of which came up with a feature first goes back and forth over the years but lets not pretend Apple never stole a idea for themselves.
