Agreed, a bigger screen is the only complaint I could ask for. The 4S is fine other than still having a smaller screen. I did notice that the battery isn’t that great if you are using it normally, not a surprise though having had the iPhone 4. You have to fine tune it, lower the brightness, turn GPS, WiFi and 4G off or the battery is dead in 5-6 hours from 100%.

Its just that the review is so long, but that’s because theirs so much depth to the iPhone 4s. And the review is pretty spot on. The 4s is a great phone.

As far as widgets go. Apple did add a weather and stock widget to iOS 5. As far as getting updated for every thing else you listed:
last 3 emails, next 3 appoinments, last facebook posts. There’s the notification center there to keep you posted on everything. Widgets are cool, but arent a necessity.

The iPhone 4s is perfect for anybody. I have a 2 year old nephew who can operate my 4s.

IPhone =streamline simple and works every time , and gets updates fast and never delayed or ignored. The app store is the best there is. The phone dose have a small screen by today’s standards but you will definitely have an easy time in the apple community. Android is really cool if you want SUPER powerfull devices with giant screens but I hate the fact that some new phone comes out every day making your model somewhat outdated very fast. This makes it hard for developers to put focus on each individual phone. If your tech savvy this won’t be an issue tho, android users tend to make their own ports and updates. Personally I’d recommend iPhone but if you want a really hardcore device android may be your best bet. Hope that helps.

blah blah blah… enjoy your plastic crashing laggy ugly cheap derivative second-rate POS of a phone and OS. Android is pure trash. You can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig, just like you can scream Android is “customizable” and has “so many options” all you want, doesn’t change the fact that it’s an ugly, laggy, barely useable POS of an OS that drains your battery and requires a reboot every other hour. People spend more time just getting their crap Android phones to work then they do actually using them.

Enjoy your Malware Fandroid… Android, the first mobile OS that actually needs Anti-Virus software. LMAO! Even Microsoft didn’t screw up THAT bad.

I have never seen a group of people so into seeing a weather report on their phone as Android users and then claiming that that level of “open-ness” makes it better than iOS. Well, I guess I’ll take the best camera/camcorder in the mobile world, the smoothest operating system, a phone that when an update comes out is for it and it only, not having to wait for months while manufacturers try to make one company’s OS work with their overlay, the best apps that come first to iOS, the highest pixel density screen (granted, I’d like a bigger screen), the best music/media player to name a few. I will grant that Apple’s “walled garden” has some limitations relative to Android, but I wouldn’t trade any of those so called advantages for the comprehensive platform that Apple has provided. And I’m not a fanboy. I like my phone. If you like your Android phone, that’s great too. If the Galaxy Nexus had had a real camera, I may have considered switching.

Iphone4s is good if you:

-Like a tiny screen, and a heavy phone
-Don’t like to have google navigation built in to the OS, so you can simply
hit the navigation button from from any app (like yelp), and it gives
you spoken direction like a GPS. I can speak “pizza hut”, and it
navigates me there. I can speak an address, and it navigates me there.
AWESOME!
-Don’t want the ability to add storage via a micro SD card
-Don’t want the option to add widgets to your screens. Anyone who says widgets
are usless is just plain biased. At a glance, I can see my stock
prices, last 3 emails, next 3 appoinments, last facebook posts, etc etc
etc… Widgets RULE!
-Like when you drop it once and it is rendered useless (see the drop test on this site)
-Don’t like the fact that you can purchase an oversized battery for $25.00 and pop it in to get awesome battery life.
-Don;t like to have it become a Mass Storage Device when plugged into a PC.
Very useful for dragging an dropping files, even from one PC to another.

Man, I could go on and on. I upgraded from the iphone4 to the atrix 4g, and
now the galaxy S2 (my son got the atrix, and I’m selling the iphone4).
The iphone 4s is not a bad phone until you compare it to what
google/android has to offer, then it appears to be quite useless to me.
At least not is has voice input, but I’m not even sure that is
integrated into the keyboard for use with ALL apps.

I currently own and iPhone 4 and chose not to upgrade to the 4S… if they had gone to a 4+” screen I would have upgraded. If Apple chooses not to make the move to the larger screen on the next generation, I (and I’m sure many others) will certainly be looking at a Galaxy Nexus or similar device.

Also; FAA regulations require all electronic devices to be in the OFF position when the aircraft is below 10,000 feet!

Android phone companies have to make basically tablets with the phone feature and making something larger makes it thinner, while Apple has maintained the same slimness without making it larger and hard to hold for most people, smaller androids are either thicker or have the same thickness, but with that means inferior parts to the iphone 4s for instance single core processor 4g is still slowly growing Apple never put it in due to the fact of thicker phone or larger phone and lower battery life, with leaving it 2 3g the iphone still does things at a good enough rate when requiring internet connection also the battery can be replaced not that easily still the battery of an iphone is many times better the new droid razr doesn’t need a replacement battery showing such methods are now pointless so please do not talk like u know much about smartphones tech specs
