Look at it from Apple’s point of view (which really is the only view that matters, as it’s their numbers) 1,000,000 > 600,000. I don’t think they give 2 shits about the fact it’s on 3 carriers, they sold more than they did with the last iPhone. They expanded their market, and sold more devices. It doesn’t cost them any extra to sell to Verizon and Sprint, so they increased sales ~66.67% over their last launch.

It’s only people like you who try to “spin” it that way. I highly doubt anyone sees this as “stagnant” sales.

What these sales articles lack are sales based on turnover from existing owners vs. sales to new owners. With the number of 3G, 3GS, and 4 models in the market, initial sales if the device is really “desired” should be greater, more so if you are picking up new users as well. High sales today is a great thing for any companies bottom line, but ultimately, you want to see growth, not just turnover or your business model has begun to stagnate.

Another statistic I would actually like to see quantified, is the number of iPhones that are stock vs. JB’d.

I can imagine your choking after opening your samsung s2 and for a moment being horrified that you bought an iPhone!!!!!

But dont worry….. your samsung g2 only LOOKS identical to the iPhone 4/S…..

It will never work as smooth solid and reliably…. it wont ever “JUST WORK”…
and it will never be supported after the first year if it even makes it that far…
oh yeah and you wont find accessories for it…
ahh, how could i forget, you will get to spend all that time fixing your phone after all the malware and viruses cr*ap your phone into a brick…

You will always claim fame to the “Open-ness” (fragmented) of your android phone that comes with bloatware, carrier cra*pware, skins, layers, GUI’s, that you can NOT remove from your phone… wait, that doesn’t sound so open, does it?

Now: 1,000k on 3 carriers.

Do the math, sales should be over 1,800k, there is a huge decline in numbers. Damn spinsters. Where are the missing “stagnant sale” 800k iphones?

I agree with this idiot. Stupid sheep.. I’ll take a dumb android phone any day of the week. I love phones that will get outdated in 6 months and i love not receiving updates when everyone else does. I don’t understand why everyone loves the iphone? I guess people just want a phone that works.
