I’ve read several comparison reviews from months ago between the iphone 4 5 meg camera and the gs2 and reviewers seem to unanimously agree that the gs2 took better stills (higher mexapixel) but that the video of the gs2 was lacking and that the iphone 4 outperformed it.

Now i’ve read several interviews that suggest that the iphone 4s camera outperforms the gs2 in stills as well as video… Engadget, Gizmodo, and slashgear as well as a few independents all agree on this…

and I gotta say….as far as stills go I dont really see a difference, both phones take great pics, but when it comes to video, the 4s trounces the gs2 when compared side by side ( I ran my own video tests between my 4s and my roomates gs2)

The N8 is still a shitty phone.

4 extra megapixels, a better lens in exchange for an aluminium unibody of crap.
Might as well get a point-and-shoot digicam.Many telcos have already stopped offering the N8 for contract bundles.If you want pure phone camera goodness, something from Nokia/Windows, HTC, Samsung and Sony will be available very soon, dethroning the N8.

I don’t really see why the 4S’s camera is so praised, it’s pretty much equal to the rest of the highend smartphones. But I guess people seem to like Apples colourfilters :S. But phonecameras are definitely starting to replace cheap point and shoot cameras with stupid tiny sensors and epic small zoomlenses.

Btw, the N8 is still miles(!) ahead of anything else in terms of cameraquality.

Whatever you say isheep :) say whatever you want as long it makes you sleep well at night. I don’t even see a real application to your so high graphic gpu lok. yet you still using 3.5″ screen. Oh do read about Siri before you saying its intelligent. I basically using the feeds from websites to generate the answer and speech part is by reading from siri is nothing special, can you tell it to wipe your arse? Or sit your exam for you? It is all marketing hype.

iPhone 4S have a GPU that is twice as powerful than what SGS2 have, and the antenna that they installed in iPhone 4S is a general standard, its not samsung only tech. See the news…Judge just kicked out samsungs case regarding that lolzzz……Let’s talk about SIRI….you might say vlingo on sgs2. but der you can only say things to that like you typing in a google search…Siri is an intelligent assitant that not only understands what you speak, but also reponds back and suggests few thing and it can learn you and what you saying slowly…..Retina is still highest resolution phone screen….i wanna carry a mobie buddy not a ultra mini junk plastic tab / sgs2 lolzzz….iPhone 4S is gr8 and it’ needs fuzz….coz it’s extrodinary….

All of them? I haven’t read a review that gives it higher marks for quality than the Galaxy S II, in stills or video. In fact, I’ve seen two reviews today that pin it as the number two or three camera phone on the market. One, for example – can’t seem to paste the URL, but it’s from the October 16th front page of PCWorld

Take a look here. the video in 1080p comparison to galaxy s2 at the end of the review. Iphone 4S stuttering when panning or should I say frames dropped.

So this so called the almighty Iphone 4S isn’t all that great in video or photo. obvious marketing scam.

That was more impressive than I thought it would be, Anyone think the frame rate was too high or that there’s some kind of in between frames interpolation going on? There seems to be a lot of unnatural strobing.

Yeah, I was pretty impressed with the iphone 4s camera because the camera on my Evo 3d is a piece. But once I saw some of the shots from the SGS2 and Amaze 4g, I have to conclude that it’s just near the top of the cell phone heap. Yeah it might be better than a lackluster point and shoot, but all this hype is just that – hype. It’s a great camera, but it’s not definitively better that what’s come before it.

Yep I totally agreed on that statement. :) This is more understandable. It is enough to replace point and shoot camera. Many camera phones are like that anyway :) all the new phones came with a camera almost as good as point to shoot camera. Which is pretty good. For that you get a Like :)

Not hate but just want the author try to make it less bias on the future review. I’ve seen some reviewers said it is better than DSLR man. Which is very stupid of them. The quality is average for 8Mpx camera. But I won’t say it is better than my SLR camera 8Mpx :) because I know that it is the truth.

Yep close to point and shoot camera. :) Not the same level as point and shoot camera though. But there are many biased reviewers keep saying that it is better than the point and shoot camera and even some said better than DSLR. Which making want to vomit. Most phones out there with 8Mpx capable of the same quality :)

I just watched the side by side video comparison between it and a $3000 dslr, and while not as good, it definitely is close. I’m not saying that its a better camera at all, just saying I think it can be considered as good as a point and shoot. Definitely not professional quality, but by far good enough for vacations, parties, and anything else a point and shoot is used for.

Whoa, take it easy there- way too much hate there buddy! The article is just saying the iPhone camera is pretty good at vids, that’s all (and it seems like its pretty good). It did not say the iPhone cam is better than another camera in particular or has “beyond SLR” quality… YOU are the one making comparisons!!! However, it’s a valid article because the iPhone is the world’s most popular smartphone and everyone wants to hear more about it! Now if you don’t like the iPhone then easy: Just skip the article! It takes MORE effort to go in here, read the article about news you don’t want to read, and then write a mini-rant going off about things that were not even written… But if you enjoy trolling then there’s not much to say…

I see no difference to Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC camera in term of quality. I don’t see the hype over a camera phone. And the hype that it is better than the point and shoot camera is a lie, some site even said that it is DSLR quality and some even said beyond DSLR. Which pretty bullsh** really. A small lense camera cannot compare to a proper camera. Otherwise the camera manufacturers would have shrink their camera lense to use a mobile phone size instead. So hyped, just like the iPhone 4 camera when it first released. And we all know that it is not all that great. I dare Apple to convince me as I am Skeptical!

Beside the lenses in the Iphone 4S are made by SONY. So i do not see why this is better than any SONY camera phones out there. What is the fuzz? Sony made the sensor but the lenses Sony use Carl Ziess. And DSLR is the best camera that professional would use, and If this so iPhone4S has the camera that came even close to that then why would professional paid over 10k for DSLR, why not buy this iphone4S and do their photoshoot :)

All I see is marketing scam and hype. Because there is nothing else other than CPU and GPU that Apple can hype other than its camera. What more? Oh Retina LCD? and Gorilla glass? The aluminum body? or the dual antenna that they installed in their iPhone 4S (Samsung technology) because all these features are old and we’ve seen how they marketed in the previous year.

Too much fuzz!!
