iPhone 2.0 software has already been unlocked!

So we’ve all been wondering how long it would take for the iPhone 2.0 software to get unlocked. Would it be a day, week or even a month? Think again folks, it has already been unlocked, and the software isn’t technically supposed to be released until tomorrow.

You can actually already download the new software if you know the right place to look. The iPhone Dev team has had it for a little while now, and just announced that they have done the unthinkable, and created an unlocking tool for the software before it has even been released.

The tool hasn’t been released just yet, though we expect they will be doing so very shortly. Those of you wanting to use your iPhone with 2.0 software on other carriers should be very excited to hear this. We’ll let you know when the tool is available for download.
