With Google's rumored Nexus tablet push, I wouldn't be surprised if Android got majority marketshare by 2016 like it did in the phone market. Remember that supercharging effect the Nexus had on phones (not specifically that the Nexus sold well but it helped improve the quality of others)? It's going to happen in tablets. But expect iPad to have the highest profits.

Lol

How can a company even predict 4 years from now? Predicting 1 or 2 years is difficult. Microsoft from 0 in 2011 to 4863 in 2012. Uhh where does this figures based on???

2012 almost certain. 2013 maybe. 2014, it'll have lost its marketshare. Pretty much the same as the iPhone did and the other i* products before it. Though Zach brings up a good point- it's all in how they define what a "tablet" is.

Well, with phablets(phones) and convertables(W8 laptops) entering the arena, I wouldn't be surprised if the iPad held the top tablet position until the end of time. I either want it to be portable, and to be able to make calls from it (which the iPad isn't/can't) or to be able to do more than a tablet can (play REAL games, multi-task, etc.). The iPad does what tablets do very well.
