I think the timing is just perfect for apple to
release a New iPad Mini or whatever they want to call it. They have to remember
that portability is the number one factor for most of the consumers. Therefore,
it’s a must for them if they want to maintain their position as the number one
tech company.

Nonsense, a 7.85-inch display still won't be pocket-able like a iPod and will have more in common with the 9.7" iPad.

If the rumors are true then this is a device that will mainly appeal to people who will just want easier one handed usage but still want to use it as a tablet. Like for e-reading a book, etc. Most e-Readers for example use 5 to 7 inch screens.

The Amazon Kindle Fire for example is a 7" device and is what this product will likely compete against and makes the rumored price point more likely. Though that'll probably mean they won't go all out on the specs to help lower the costs.

I will be surprised if Apple prices this that low. I think everything else about this rumor will come to fruition, but I don't see them pricing it that low. If Apple has proven anything over the years, it's that people will pay more for their products just because they say Apple on them. Apple doesn't have to compete in the Android price range. They can make an inferior product, price it higher, and as long as it says Apple people will still buy it in droves.

The iSheep will pay 20% to 40% more, and then they will tell you they don't care that it has weaker specs (because it's not all about specs, it's about "design" and "user experience"), they don't care if they have to buy all Apple products for it to play nice with any of their other devices (they only buy Apple anyway), they don't care if it's restricted in what you are allowed to do (they are grateful that Apple is watching over them and protecting them from "dangerous" apps), all they care about is that it says Apple on it.

Apple knows it, and they will continue to milk these shills for all they are worth.
