wow although i am looking more forward to buying a Windows 8- x86 tablet I think this Ipad 3 will be a tremendous device for viewing Video and text and art work on. those who buy will like it but to me a tablet with a sharp picture is not enouigh. alot of Ipad 2 owners will feel the same way and not upgrade for 6 months to a year because the ipad 2 tablet works for them

Umm…doubling both the horizontal and vertical resolution will quadruple, not double the pixel density. 16 / 4 = 4.

You realize its easier if it’s literally exactly double resolution wich will look normal at first then better once optimized.

Nice rumor. The background image noise in the photo is also 2X from ipad2 to ipad3, in other words the image is “fun with photoshop”.

Here is another rumor:
Doesn’t this resolution change fragment apps for iOS? Nah, they will just “scale up” lower resolution legacy apps like they did with iPad1. Will the iPad3 apps scale down for the iPad2 customers, I think not.
