AppleTV will have a faster CPU, tad more storage and basically sell 1080p PPV content, which probably wont sell well in Canada. I see no reason to replace my jailbroken AppleTV running XBMC.

What it should have is a light peak port, for connecting storage devices, Blue Ray, etc.

Not that I’m a genius when it comes to these types of things but if the screen is twice the resolution, in order to keep the same system performance as the current generation iPads wouldn’t you have to also increase the cores to four or the clock speed of the two cores’ graphics?

The only thing that I believe is that the iPad 3 will NOT ship with a quad core processor. I just don’t see how Apple’s suppliers could have ramped up production of an advanced piece of kit THAT quickly, especially if the iPad 3 goes on sale in a week.

The “Retina” display is PLENTY of reason for me to upgrade as is the inclusion of a 4G LTE radio. But that doesn’t mean that the iPad 2 isn’t a perfectly serviceable alternative to the new shiny.

I just heard from a source it will come with a Magic Retina 4112×3072 display, with 32GB of RAM, 16TB of storage, 100 hours of battery with 100Mb/s LTE+ Advanced. It also comes preinstalled with iOS 8, which lets you use your iPad as a holographic communications device, and comes standard with a 38 MPx rear camera able to shoot 4K video at 120fps and a front camera able to shoot 2160p video at 60fps. All of this is capable because of the new Apple A12 chip, which is a 12-core processor clocked at 8Ghz. The graphics processor included is 480x as powerful as current gen processors, yet only sucks 2.3% of the power.

You should probably run an article on this. I swear I heard it from a source inside Apple with knowledge on the matter and has played with one personally.
