This pricing structure for the Mini will leave the Nexus 7 32gb at $ 249.00 in the sweet spot for 7 inch tablets.

I wouldn’t say $399 for the base model, but $299 seems pretty likely with this move. $399 would be the higher-storage model.

How many accessories do you need? They don’t destroy old accessories when the new device comes out.

This pisses me off, I got the iPad1 had to take the iPad1 back because it was out of stores, no accesseries for it either so i had to get the iPad 2, now they are ousting the ipad2 as well, wtf are people like me going to do when we need accessories or when they decide they are going upgrade again, the system upgrade did not cover ipad 1 so soon ipad 1 will be no good, then couple more years ipad 2 will be no good too, if they plan to do this they should sell these ipads for 100 bucks or no more the 200 if they are going to plan to oust them evertime they fucking upgrade, i should of stayed with Microsoft, at least when micrososft upgrade i can upgrade, and at least you do not have to go and buy a new computer every year!!!!! watch the iPad 3 will be off the market in a year… they do this so people have to upgrade buy a new one, ever year, RIP OFF ! People fall for it cause they think apple is god or something, WAKE UP!!!!

So if that is true, then I would say the new smaller iPad might be priced around the $399 level. I would say that would be right given the Apple tax and all. It would also make sense because Apple does not want to move too far lower then a iPad because then the iPad mini will just consume its sales. People think to much in terms of Apple competing on price with their iPads. I so far have yet to see Apple drop prices in fear of competition. If your considering Apple you are already used to paying what Apple wants.
