I would love to see Apple open up Facetime. Maybe integrate a Facetime client into iTunes so people with PC’s and webcams can video chat with iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, etc. And allowing Facetime video chats with Droid phones and tablets would be great too. It stinks that my kids all have a iPod Touch 4G and I can’t video chat with them from any device with a webcam. Oh well, maybe someone will create an app for jail broken devices that will allow video chat outside of the Apple realm…

Why is this shocking? They’ve done the same thing with the iPhone, why would you expect them to make major changes? They can slowly, over years, add improvements and milk out sales every cycle. The iPad is already on the low end for devs, if they introduced a new display or anything major it would just fragment everything more.

yawn. they need to make a smaller and LIGHTER iPad. it’s too frickin heavy to hold in one hand. not so with the 7″ tablets which are much more comfortable to hold and their screens are big “enough”.

A dual camera setup would be a little awkward for a lot of the case styles out there and perhaps a bit unnecessary. The Facetime camera would be welcome though as would a ram upgrade. That said, the real winners are the people that will be able to get onboard with a cheap/used/refurbished first generation iPad.
