The idea that a business (especially one with shareholders) would purposefully limit themselves in order to give customers a second chance to think and go with another product is silly.

Of the line of 13 that was waiting in line probably only 4 people walked away with anything since there are so many of versions of the iPad and only 10 total units to choose from.

I went to Target first and they only had 5 64GB 3G versions (and a very short line of 3).

I guess it’s a great safety mechanism for spontaneous buyers. Unless you were hard set on getting one you’ll probably avoid buyers remorse later once you’ve had time to think about it and the hype is over. I’m glad Apple was thinking of us. =)
