I never meant to imply that one you meant one was better but I'm pretty sure I said not everyone is willing to learn either. As far as non oem Rom's though, I have been going back to the usual touch wiz Rom from Samsung because it works pretty well. Now that team synergy over at xda forums is coming out with another update I may be downgrading from 4.2 to 4.1. My point was that android does get upgraded, people just need to take the initiative and learn about what they are buying.

Sorry, you got the wrong guy. I have been toying with Android smartphones since they came out, whether it was "Pure" Android or 3rd party ROMS developed by a huge great community. My point is that unless you DO play with Android thanks to these NON OEM roms, you're stuck waiting and waiting for the manufacturers to deliver any update...See Samsung, HTC, Motorola and so on.

I never said and will never say that one system is better than the other one. I use both and they are both great with each one having its own small and big problems.

I thought that the "silence all" mode muted incoming alerts. At least that is how my phone works. Simply silence the system, then set an alarm for when you want to be alerted again. My phone automatically understands that alarms are not supposed to be muted unless I specifically mute then individually.

Funny you say that we android device holders have to wait. I've installed android 4.1 and later 4.2 on my GS3 on a whim. You do realize there is a huge community out there that is worth looking into because it helps you learn about the internal workings of your phone. I understand that not everyone cares to learn about their device but that is how companies like Apple wants their public to behave, so that they end up completely dependent on them for every little thing that goes wrong the system.

Ah yes, another one who speaks just because he has a mouth. It worked just fine on my iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S and they both have to experience any bug.
