Inventor builds working Assassin's Creed Rope Launcher

If you are a big fan of the Assassin's Creed video game franchise, you may have played the latest game in the series that is set in Victorian England. The game is Assassin's Creed Syndicate and focuses on twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye. In the game, the duo interacts with historical figures as they try to solve murders that happened in the past.

This game adds mechanics for clue gathering and mystery solving to the normal kill the bad guy mix. As with any of the Assassin's Creed games the stars of the game are actually the cool weapons that the players get to use and in the latest iteration, those cool weapons include the now infamous hidden blade and a sweet rope launcher.

An inventor called colinfurze over on YouTube has posted up a series of vides that shows how he created a working rope launcher just like the one in the game. The launcher appears to work fairly well, though its usefulness for climbing building is suspect.

The making of video is broken into two parts showing most of the design process and a third video shows off the launcher along with the hidden blade. No video showing the hidden blade is offered, I guess he doesn't want nefarious sorts building up their own hidden blade.
