Intel Z-P140 PATA - Industry’s Smallest Solid-State DriveIntel is set to unveil its Z-P140 PATA SSD in 2008 CES. The drive is “smaller than a penny and weighs less than a drop of water”. According to Intel, these drives will be used in ultra-small mobile Internet devices, digital entertainment and embedded applications. It is also part of the proposed Intel “Menlow” platform. The drives will be available in storage capacity of 2GB and 4GB, however extendable to 16GB. Intel has not made the availability date of these SSD known.
