The Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook has a Thunderbolt port and is available in configurations with 128GB or 256GB SSD. No discrete level graphics however. For that, turn to their "TimelineU" series where their M3 product was the launch platform for the 640M (although then you lose the Thunderbolt and SSD except for OS cacheing). I'd prefer to see high res panels with matte finish than incorporating Thunderbolt. That's my $0.02.

I agree with TechGeek...although 256GB on the SSD is probably fine....but please include a Thunderbolt port...gives you so many more options in the future. Also...640M would be good...but figure out how to put a 650M in like Apple has done on their new Retina laptop and you'll have a winner. Stop worrying about the price...the people who are market drivers with their opinions are not as cost conscious as all the PC makers seem to think. Apple is the only one who seems to understand that.

All I care about is this
1) Up to 2.0 Ghz dual core i7
2) up to 8 GB memory
3) Up to 512GB SSD
4) up to 1080p display.

Once those are met, THEN they can make cheaper ultrabooks.
