Akash 2 is an unbelieveable cheap of just $35, but problem is the availablity of this tab, the tab production is so low it can’t reach to needed customer, one thing about its specification, it is good in video with support of Divx, Xvid, mp4, mpge4, 3gp but is have tv output link. Camera is in the front but is it 3G, is camera also on back side, it is good that it have sim slot & memory card slot. Just waiting for this, don’t know when we get it.

This is how we make progress as a species by making materials and knowledge easily available to everyone. Something as simple as a table might seem insignificant to us but it might take the mind of a poor child in a third world country and allow’em to interact and

IMHO this is nothing less than revolutionary. $35 is several orders of magnitude less than even $200. while mathematically, this is not correct; when you take into account the effort needed to have $200 in excess cash, it is unbelievably cheaper. let me put it this way –

could you afford a $3,500 pc? if no, how hard would you have to work to raise those funds?

could you afford a $20,000 pc? if no, how hard would you have to work to raise those funds?

personally, id have to work my ass off to buy the $20,000 one, to the point where I would not buy it. it simply costs too much. on the other hand, i’d have to work pretty hard to buy for the $3500 one, but it wouldnt be out of reach.

$35 is a steal for a tablet, even considering the outdated tech.
