Thanks for this review. I just wanted to elaborate on a few things mentioned.

The iMac’s audio ports provide both analog and digital audio (TOSlink) for both input and output. The Thunderbolt ports actually provide 2-way bandwidth, i.e. 2 x 10 Gbps for each Thunderbolt port. Also, each Thunderbolt port actually supports up to seven devices: 6 daisy-chained peripherals plus a monitor as the final device with simultaneous use of all devices on the chain supported.

Finally, the optional SSD is configured as the primary (i.e. boot) drive whether it’s accompanied by an HD or not.
