iLuv i180 iPod Video Recorder

So, you just spent $300 on your new 30 GB iPod, but you want to be able to do more than just listen to your tunes? Well, there’s always the iTunes Music Store’s TV library, but in case you’re happy with the video library you’ve already paid for, iLuv has the answer. Say hello to the i180 iPod Video Recorder, an iPod dock that also allows you to turn your fifth-generation iPod into a DVR (the device doesn’t work with any other iPod but the 5G).

Basically, users can use the AV inputs on the i180 in order to save video directly to the iPod’s hard drive, meaning that you don’t need to got through all sorts of messy conversion apps to get your movies onto your iPod. The i180 can record for 30, 60, 120, or 180 minutes and can record the video in four different video qualities (512 kbps, 768 kbps, 1 Mbps, and 1.5 Mbps). To top it all off, the i180 charges your iPod while all this is going on, meaning that you won’t load up 10 hours worth of video to realize that you’ll need to wait to play it. So what are you waiting for, an invitation? Go get one!
