Music libraries are definitely not dead. Nothing can truly replace a localized collection of music unless everything loads just as fast and there is no data limit. Neither of those are the case with most smartphones. And some people don’t want to pay per month (myself) to listen to music. I prefer to buy used (and sometimes new) CDs that are cheaper than MP3s where I have a high quality copy that I can rip using WMA lossless and then convert if I need to.

Spotify is great… until you realize it’s not really free and it requires a credit card. Not good for people who don’t use one on third-world countries.

CD’s are dead. Music Libraries are dead. I realized this after spending a couple of hours trying to reorganize my MP3 after Realplayer messed it up. Forget that, I will happily pay Spotify to maintain (a lot of) the world’s music on there for free.
