You might not be able to fold the corner down (not, at least, without voiding your warranty) but PVI’s flexible e-Paper is the closest thing yet to a mass-produced replacement for traditional paper.  Vincent caught up with them at IFA 2007 today and managed to score an exclusive video demo; make sure to check out the rest of the footage and exclusive photos after the cut!

You won’t be seeing a PVI-branded ebook on the shelves anytime soon - they specialise in building e-paper for other companies.  Back in 2005 they bought Philips’ e-paper department making them the sole manufacturer of active matrix e-ink displays.
