Most people would do anything to make sure their loved one is safe, whether it’s a child, an elderly parent or even a pet, you want to know if they get lost or hurt their individual needs will be met. That’s where IdentityPal comes in. Basically, it’s a USB flash drive which stores emergency information that could save a life or bring a loved one back home.

The device is small and capable of fitting on a key ring, in your pocket or on the collar of pet. It’s shockproof and waterproof so it’s ready for whatever may come at your nearest and dearest.

It’ll cost about $40, which I have to say is a bit much for something you could just put on a regular USB drive, but I suppose you’re paying for the durability. It’s a nice thought/idea but I know there are better ways to do the same thing.

I got to play with this device at CES in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago. The device contains much more than what you can put on a regular USB device as this author implies. Not only do you get the durability of the unit being shockproof and waterproof, you get a device that actually TALKS to the person trying to help you! These guys have created a really really good life saving device and I wish them all the luck in the world. Everybody should own one of these for $39.95. Keep an eye on their product, we’ll all see the Identity Pal in stores by us soon. I saw some big name company purchasers showing interest in their product, they have a hit on their hands for certain.
