just got this tablet after breaking my toshiba thrive.ouch . i like the smaller size but my main complaint is that all downloads and pics transfered by bluetooth go to the internal memory not the external sd card. i cant find a way to change this. one post said it was not possible in honeycomb but the thrive had no such problem. tried several file manager apps but no success

I just purchased an Acer Iconia 7″ tablet… I’m concerned that Kindle does not appear to be compatible and force closes on this tablet. Has this been resolved yet?

I have found a way to disable the status bar (used when watching moves etc) I hope Andriod adds a hide status bar option in future updates!
Go to
Settings>
Manage Applications>
All>
Force Stop System UI>
This removes the status bar untill you do a system reboot. And you can use the tablets home button to leave applications.
so now I can watch movies without the dam status bar and clock hoggging up the screen.

I just païd $21.87 for an ïPad 2 – 64 G.B and my boyfrîend loves his Pänasoniic Lumíx GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by U P S.I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch L.E.D T.V to my boss for $657 which only cost me $62.81 to buy.

I am using a class 1 micro SD. You need to format it in fat32.
The GPS works great. I am using it with Copilot Live. Which loads maps to your device.
I am getting around 5 hours on the battery.

Damn it, Google needs to figure out what to do with the status bar with full screen apps. It was bad enough to have it hogging the precious screen space on a 10″ but on a 7″ it’s worse. I wish they kept at least the separate back and home buttons as standard, but I’d be happy if they got rid of it by default (or at least just keep the left back, home on screen buttons, I’d don’t need a black bar and the time in full screen!)

I have those few questions:
Which SD card is better for this device?
Can it’s GPS work independently? (I presume yes as it has no G3.
How good is the GPS?
Does it needs an additional GPS receiver?
