Gingerbread is going strong, mainly because 80% of middle and low end phones sold in emerging countries like India, still run Gingerbread.

Saying that, Gingerbread share is owing to ‘old devices’ not being upgraded is wrong, since its only a minor factor. ‘New devices’ still being sold with Gingerbread is the real issue here
