If you've been enjoying some good books on your iPhone or iPad then most likely you've been using Apple's free ebook reader, the iBooks app. The app received an update today to version 1.2.1 with much improved performance and stability.
Users of the app have found that with the new version, books seem to download 75% faster. Downloaded books also appear to open faster with almost no lag time when swiping through pages.
Several other enhancements listed in this update such as the inclusion of illustrated books, ability to organize books into personal collections, and printing PDF notes written in iBooks were included in version 1.2. The app is available only on iOS 4.2 or later and can be downloaded now from the App Store.
